On Sunday, 10 November 2019, at night at 1:57, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 109.60), an Audi A6 registered in Estonia hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Audi (12 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.63‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
