On Saturday, 16 November 2019, in the evening at 22:49, in Švenčionių district municipality, Trakų farmstead, on the Švenčionys–Lentupiai national road (kilometre 2.45), a Volvo V70 rolled over. One person died — the 28-year-old driver of the Volvo (was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.09‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
