On Monday, 25 November 2019, in the afternoon at 15:33, in Kretingos district municipality, on Jono Karolio Chodkevičiaus street, at the junction with Rotušės a., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 3 and a car. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 80-year-old driver of the Mazda (58 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
