On Saturday, 7 December 2019, at night at 0:11, in Kaunas, on Rasytės street near No. 20, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel, a Volvo S80, a Citroen C4 Picasso, a Toyota Avensis, a BMW, a Volkswagen Touran and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Opel (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.72‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
