On Thursday, 12 December 2019, in the morning at 5:26, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 25.25), an Audi A6 Avant ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.95‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
