On Wednesday, 18 December 2019, in the evening at 19:29, in Pakruojo district municipality, on the Joniškis–Žeimelis–Pasvalys national road (kilometre 35), a VTZ Vmtz T 25 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the VTZ Vmtz (20 years of driving experience), who violated vehicle-towing rules. He was drunk (1.98‰ blood alcohol). The 76-year-old driver of a Volvo V40 had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
