On Saturday, 21 December 2019, in the afternoon at 13:40, in Utenos district municipality, Akmenynės farmstead, a Nissan Patrol hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Nissan (21 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.54‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
