On Friday, 27 December 2019, in the evening at 17:20, in Klaipėda, on Taikos pr. near No. 18, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320D, a Skoda Octavia and a Mercedes-Benz. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
