On Monday, 6 January 2020, in the evening at 17:50, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 96), a Peugeot 307 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Peugeot (13 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
