On Sunday, 2 February 2020, at night at around 2:00, in Šiauliai, on Svajonės Sodų 6-oji street near No. 4, a Volvo S60 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.35‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
