On Sunday, 2 February 2020, in the afternoon at 16:23, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 40.40), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a Toyota Aygo registered in Estonia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the BMW (6 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
