On Monday, 25 November 2019, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Kaunas, on Partizanų street near No. 48, a Suzuki Jimny hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 94-year-old pedestrian (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Suzuki (38 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
