On Monday, 10 February 2020, in the morning at around 6:00, in Kauno district municipality, Akademijos town, on Universiteto street near No. 6, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a BMW 525 D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
