On Friday, 21 February 2020, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kaunas, on Karaliaus Mindaugo pr. near No. 50, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen LT 35 and a Skoda Superb. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (36 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet.
