On Saturday, 22 February 2020, in the morning at around 9:00, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 111.80), an Opel Meriva hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Opel (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
