On Monday, 23 March 2020, in the evening at around 21:00, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on the Didieji Baušiai–Akmenynė–Turgeliai regional road (kilometre 0.06), a vehicle hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 19-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the driver of a vehicle (less than a year of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. The driver was sober.
