On Saturday, 4 April 2020, in the evening at 22:30, in Ignalinos district municipality, Didžiasalio village, on Geležinkelio street near No. 65, a Volkswagen Transporter ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
