On Friday, 10 April 2020, in the evening at around 17:00, in Anykščių district municipality, Griežioniškių farmstead, on the Pagojė–Sedeikiai–Viešintos–Nociūnai national road (kilometre 10.20), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved an Opel and a Toyota RAV4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 75-year-old driver of the Opel (15 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (1.89‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. The 45-year-old driver of the Toyota was drunk (0.69‰). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
