On Wednesday, 22 April 2020, in the afternoon at 14:30, in Širvintų district municipality, Medžiukų village, on Plento street near No. 13A, a Honda Civic ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Honda, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
