On Monday, 11 May 2020, in the afternoon at 12:25, in Tauragės district municipality, Kirklių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 207.20), a BMW 530 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
