On Friday, 22 May 2020, in the afternoon at 13:35, in Ignalinos district municipality, on the Vilnius-Švenčionys-Zarasai national road (kilometre 141), a head-on collision while overtaking occurred. The collision involved a vehicle and a Volvo S60. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who violated overtaking rules. He fled the scene.
