On Sunday, 7 June 2020, in the afternoon at 13:30, in Kauno district municipality, on the Aristava–Kėdainiai–Cinkiškiai national road (kilometre 31.09), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz A 170 CDI and a Toyota Avensis. Four people were injured — a 63-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient), a 91-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient), the 31-year-old driver of the Toyota (hospitalized) and a 55-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 76-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (58 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
