On Thursday, 11 June 2020, in the morning at 7:57, in Švenčionių district municipality, on Strūnaičio street near No. 19, at the junction with Vilniaus street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz and a Toyota Avensis. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (15 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
