On Saturday, 13 June 2020, in the evening at 22:45, in Kelmės district municipality, on Vytauto Didžiojo street near No. 129, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 316 and an Opel. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.49‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
