On Wednesday, 17 June 2020, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Vilnius, on Gariūnų street near No. 70, a traffic accident occurred. The accident involved a MAN TGX, a Stas and a Volvo FL612. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 72-year-old driver of the Volvo (23 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
