On Tuesday, 14 July 2020, in the evening at around 21:00, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 58), a BMW hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the BMW (24 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
