On Wednesday, 15 July 2020, in the evening at 17:50, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 41.40), a DAF hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the DAF (40 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
