On Friday, 17 July 2020, in the evening at 17:15, in Rietavo municipality, on the Narbutiškė–Akmenskynė regional road (kilometre 8), in a roadworks zone, a collision occurred. The collision involved a Skoda Octavia and an Audi A6 Avant. Two people were injured — the 30-year-old driver of the Skoda (treated as an outpatient) and a 48-year-old passenger of the Skoda (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Skoda (11 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet.
