On Friday, 17 July 2020, in the evening at 17:26, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 49.40), a Peugeot 806 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Peugeot (25 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
