On Thursday, 6 August 2020, in the evening at 19:30, in Tauragės district municipality, on Tauragės Dvaro street near No. 36, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra-B and a Volkswagen Bora. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Opel (5 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (3.17‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
