On Thursday, 6 August 2020, in the evening at 18:15, in Šiaulių district municipality, Beržynės village, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 60), an Opel Vectra hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Opel (33 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene.
