Hit-and-run Opel driver in crash with two other cars on the Vilijampolė–Žeimiai–Šėta road
On Sunday, 9 August 2020, in the afternoon at 14:50, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilijampolė–Žeimiai–Šėta national road (kilometre 8.40), a collision occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra, an Audi A6 and an Opel Astra Station Wagon. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Opel Astra (5 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
