On Thursday, 20 August 2020, at night at around 23:00, in Kaunas, on Rasytės street near No. 28, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz C180 and a Chevrolet Cruze. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 68-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (50 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.24‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
