On Saturday, 22 August 2020, in the evening at 17:20, in Šilalės district municipality, Pelkių village, on the Kryžkalnis–Rietavas–Vėžaičiai national road (kilometre 17.36), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Honda Accord, an Opel Zafira and a trailer ≤ 0.75 t. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Honda (3 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
