On Monday, 31 August 2020, in the afternoon at 11:30, in Panevėžys, on Statybininkų street near No. 54, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen LT 35 and a Toyota Corolla Verso. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (14 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
