On Monday, 31 August 2020, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Klaipėda, on I. Kanto street near No. 17, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320 and a car. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW (2 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
