On Sunday, 13 September 2020, in the afternoon at 13:35, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Saulažolių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 293.50), a Renault ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Renault (23 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
