On Saturday, 10 October 2020, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on Vytauto Didžiojo street near No. 52, a vehicle hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 40-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
