On Monday, 26 October 2020, in the morning at 8:12, in Vilnius, on Baskų street near No. 11, a Toyota Auris hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 43-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 59-year-old driver of the Toyota (20 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
