On Sunday, 8 November 2020, at night at around 4:00, in Ignalinos district municipality, on the Naujasis Daugėliškis–Taujūnai–Mažėnai–Rimšė regional road (kilometre 2.50), a BMW 530 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.75‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
