On Friday, 27 November 2020, in the evening at around 19:00, in Šiauliai, on Gegužių street, at the junction with Lyros street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V70 and a Volkswagen Touran. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Volvo (30 years of driving experience), who failed to obey traffic-control signals. Both drivers were sober.
