On Saturday, 28 November 2020, in the evening at 21:24, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 168), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V50 and a Land Rover Range Rover Sport. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Volvo (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.77‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
