On Wednesday, 2 December 2020, in the afternoon at 15:20, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 6.40), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Dacia and a Ford Galaxy. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Dacia (25 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
