On Tuesday, 15 December 2020, in the evening at 18:30, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Kaniūkai–Einorai–Nemunaitis regional road (kilometre 1.10), an Audi ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Audi, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.89‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
