On Saturday, 19 December 2020, at night at around 2:00, in Klaipėda, on Birutės street near No. 22, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Dodge Charger, a BMW 530 and a Mercedes-Benz. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Dodge (5 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
