Volvo FH12 truck and Schmitz truck crash on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai road
On Thursday, 24 December 2020, in the evening at 21:31, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai main road (kilometre 24.50), a Schmitz S01 registered in Russia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 62-year-old driver of a Volvo FH12 (43 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
