On Friday, 1 January 2021, in the afternoon at 15:07, in Plungės district municipality, Platelių town, on Žalioji street near No. 23, an Opel Zafira ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.77‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
