On Sunday, 17 January 2021, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Jonavos district municipality, Liepių village, on Plento street near No. 5, a Volvo hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Volvo (24 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.61‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
