On Sunday, 24 January 2021, in the morning at 6:30, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 10.20), a DAF FT XF 105.460 registered in Latvia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 61-year-old driver of the DAF (40 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
