On Tuesday, 26 January 2021, in the evening at 18:50, in Kretingos district municipality, on the Salantai–Grūšlaukė–Benaičiai regional road (kilometre 5.65), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a GAZ 66 and an Opel. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the GAZ (less than a year of driving experience), who violated stopping or parking rules. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober.
